Master Chess

Master Chess is an online game that gives players the chance to test their chess skills anytime. This game comes in two modes. You can play against a computer and try to beat an opponent based on artificial intelligence or you can play against a friend in the 2-player mode.

Despite being an online game, it follows the same rules as a traditional chess board. The goal is to mimic a real-life match and experience the same level of excitement and hardships. You also have a countdown clock timing your moves and your overall score will decrease the longer you take to play and to win.

Even when playing against a computer there is no hidden information in the game. You can clearly see the board and analyze every move and piece position. Your goal is to checkmate your adversary, that is, to capture their king or place it in such a situation that it cannot escape capture.

Play chess with your friends or against a computer any time you want with this free Master Chess online game.

How to play Master Chess

To start playing you must choose a game mode. You can play chess with a friend, each taking turns on the same device, or against a computer.

If you choose the latter, you can pick a difficulty level by selecting the buttons with 1 star (easy), 2 stars (medium), or 3 stars (hard) below this game mode option.

Once the game starts, the mechanics are exactly like those of a real-live chessboard with one difference: when you select a piece, the squares to which you can move it will become highlighted. You cannot force a piece to move to a forbidden square.

If you want to quit the game, change the game mode or the difficulty level, click on the gear at the top right corner of the board, and press X. In this menu, you will also find the option to play on fullscreen and to turn on or off the game sounds.
